Melissa de Mata is a commercial photographer living and working in the Bay Area. Her obsession with light and the way it transforms the mundane into something magical is shown throughout her portrait, landscape, and lifestyle photography. Translating moments into film began as a simple exploration of the self and has since evolved into a study of the people and places that surround her.
