Art Walks, Craft Brew and Molten Metal

It's sometimes easy to get holiday fatigue with an endless stream of marketing ploys, sales and commercials to get shoppers spending before the New Year. But, there are also numerous opportunities to keep that hard-earned cash in the community with local grassroots companies and artisans. SFMade Holiday Gift Fair hosts more than 70 local manufactures and retailers at Herbst Pavilion and the KPFA Crafts Fair returns for its 42nd year. SFMOMA hosts a workshop for homemade wrapping paper and the 2012 Holiday Indie Mart pairs shopping with craft brew and food trucks. The Crucible's Holiday Gift Fair adds an industrial twist to the holidays with a molten metal pour and other activities and the Lower Polk Art Walk and Lower Haight Art Walk are both back with neighborhood artists this week. For late night action, Low End Theory returns with Pac Div, Moe. hits the stage at The Independent and Ozomatli takes over The Fillmore for two nights.
