Beyond Burning Man

While thousands of Burners brave the elements at Burning Man, those of us still in Bay Area have plenty of options to party during the long Labor Day Weekend. The action starts early at Down With the King, a Michael Jackson birthday celebration, and Popscene with Kiesza. Mezzanine hosts Dev with Girls N Boomboxes and Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren drop in at Mighty for a four-hour B2B set. A Labor Day cruise takes the party to the middle of the Bay with six DJs and Hiero Day (kind of like Burning Man for local hip hop heads) returns with Hieroglyphics and a full day of hip hop in Oakland. Cafe Cocomo says good-bye with one last party before it closes and Dub Mission celebrates its 18th anniversary (win tickets).
