The White Feather, A Persian Ballet Tale

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Based on popular demand, rave reviews, and sold out audiences, from artistic director Tara Ghassemieh, alongside renowned former San Francisco Ballet principal dancer, Vitor Luiz, The White Feather, A Persian Ballet Tale, continues its timely national tour, with one night only in San Francisco, commemorating the first anniversary of Mahsa Amini's arrest and unjust death- the event which ignited the first ever women-led revolution in the world.

We invite you to join us on this unforgettable journey honoring the history of art and expression in Iran through the untold story of the Iranian National Ballet and their untimely curtain call and the fight for freedom by the past and current freedom fighters of our land. The White Feather is a tale that follows the inner child in all of us who yearn to express themselves freely and to stand up to tyranny. The story of the ballet, co-authored by Sanaz K. Soltani and Ghassemieh, is a stirring narrative of resilience, hope, and beauty which will leave you feeling inspired and empowered. Original music by legendary Shahrdad Rohani and in partnership with Iranian American Women Foundation.
