The Unusual Suspects
After a sold-out debut at the Purple Onion at Kell's in May, The Unusual Suspects moves to its new home at PianoFight for a night of hilarity you won't forget. Featuring a diverse roster of seven of the Bay Area's hottest comedians, your funny bone will thank you for taking it out for a tickling.
About the performers:
Joe Tobin
Philadelphia-raised Joe Tobin has been a regular at Bay Area clubs for 10 years. He's been featured on the Independent Film Channel and the Comcast Channel. He produces and co-hosts a weekly sports comedy podcast ("Switching Teams").
Emily Epstein White
NY transplant comedian, storyteller and writer Emily Epstein White has performed at the 360 Comedy Festival, and the She-Devil Comedy Festival, been featured in the Boston Globe, and has won and hosted the San Francisco MothSlam.
Jeff Cirv
The South Bay's Jeff Cirv brings his larger-than-life personality to the stage for a rare San Francisco performance. His outrageous tales have made him a favorite at the San Jose Improv and Rooster T Feathers, and now he brings the party to the PianoFight stage.
Sureni Weerasekera
Always spicy, Sureni's material ranges from lighthearted banter to ruthless, dark jabs that shed light on cultural dilemmas. She's performed at the Punchline and Mad House Comedy Club.
Joseph Ugalde
Ugalde's absurdist tales of bachelorhood and city living recently prompted Comedy Central star Natasha Leggero to effuse, "Nice job, honey", as she rushed past him at the Punchline.
Elizabeth Mansfield
Named a "comic to watch" by her mom, three co-workers, and one guy on Tinder, Mansfield's alternately self-effacing and self-aggrandizing takes on sex, work, and family kind of make you want to hate her...but you can't help loving her.
Keyshawn Thomas
Our New Discovery of the Month is Keyshawn Thomas. While he writes, directs and stars in his own comedic videos, he's recently brought his talents to the stand-up stage.
