The Aquatic Center and Lakeside Cafe at Shoreline Lake are holding their Second Annual waterfront
pumpkin patch extravaganza: The Shoreline Pumpkin Splash! This multi-day event -- from October
19-31, celebrating everything pumpkin -- will provide Mountain View residents and workers with
access to a pumpkin patch and pumpkin-related activities in a beautiful, serene lakeside setting in
the heart of Silicon Valley.
Created last year by Christina Ferrari, who runs the Aquatic Center and Cafe, in order to fill the
pumpkin patch void in Mountain View, this distinctive Bay Area event has something for everyone, big
or little, to enjoy.
Along with a pumpkin patch by the water (of course), Shoreline goers can expect to find a variety of
weekend access passes, traditional kid-friendly activities, an old-fashioned bake sale, a pumpkin
decorating contest, and more, as well as weekday offerings that appeal to area workers in need of a
pumpkin fix. Given the ongoing efforts to provide kids and adults with unique activities and
experiences in Silicon Valley, this festival has already become a welcome tradition in Shoreline's
line-up of family-friendly events and amenities.
With regard to the passes:
* Pumpkin and Pedalboat, $25 (Pick a pumpkin and take a pedalboat ride for 2)
* Pumpkin Patch Child, $10 (1 child pass to pick a pumpkin and enjoy activities in the pumpkin patch)
* Pumpkin Day Access $28 (1 access pass for the day along with 1 pumpkin and time in the patch)
* Pumpkin Family, $35 (2 pumpkins for the family, 2 child passes, and 2 adult passes for pumpkin
patch activities and a pedalboat ride)
* Pumpkin and Latte, $10 (Pick a pumpkin, a latte from the Cafe, and carve or decorate a pumpkin)
