The Shabbat Queen: A New Look at Lecha Dodi

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Shabbat is the divine Jewish feminine part of the week. Every Friday night we actively call in our Shabbos Queen!
Are you curious about how to welcomes her in? Come learn Lecha Dodi, the prayer we sing to invite in the Shabbat Queen herself. We will examine the meaning of this song, its relevancy and how we can use it as a source of inspiration in our lives. We will do a textual analysis of this prayer, and then sing our souls open.
About the Educator:  Hadar Cohen is a community organizer, Jewish educator and fierce feminist. She enjoys studying Jewish texts, dancing, and exploring spiritual paths. She is an official advisor on the Shechinah Counsel for At The Well.
This event is for all singers no matter if you have pitch, all learners no matter your past experience, all curious humans no matter if you are kinda scared, and lastly for all those who identify as a woman.
Nosh will be provided. Nobody will be turned away for lack of funds.
At The Well is a women's a wellness organization rooted in Jewish wisdom. We are on a mission to unify the practices of health and holiness. https://www.atthewellproject.com
