Six performances by twelve commissioned LGBTQ+ dance and movement artists, presenting innovative and experimental work. Part of Shawl-Anderson Dance Center's first annual Queering Dance Festival, a week-long event celebrating the Bay Area's queer dance community.
The first East Bay festival of its kind, the Queering Dance Festival highlights and celebrates the artistic work and diverse voices of the local LGTBQ+ dance community. Emerging from community voices, ideas, and inspiration, the Queering Dance Festival offers conversation, celebratory events, and dance performance to the greater East Bay queer community and their friends and allies.
