Over the past several decades, women have significantly increased their participation in the workforce, reached new heights as leaders in the private and public world, and steadily closed the gender gap in countless industries – yet the median working woman still only earns 83 cents for every dollar earned by men according to the Pew Research Center. To dive into the data behind pay equity in the U.S., Hired created the 2018 Women, Work, and the State of Wage Inequality Report.
Partnering with Hired, sf.citi is proud to present these findings through the Shape of Change by Val Britton – a commissioned body of work by Gallery Wendi Norris that allows the data to take shape and occupy space, engaging the viewer’s visceral response in hopes of changing the way we move through our current socio-economic environment.
In honor of Equal Pay Day, join sf.citi, Hired, and industry leaders for a night of drinks and discussion on the state of pay equity in the workforce and the debut of Val Britton’s newest art exhibition.
Doors will open at 6:00 pm followed by speakers, networking, and more.
Stay tuned for the announcement of our special guests.
Drinks and small bites will be provided.
