Northern California has long been the home for some of the nation's best-known and most creative magicians from Carter the Great in the 1920s, the highly popular mid-century illusionists Francisco and Lee Grabel to the current international sensations Jade and Alex Ramon. The Bay Area has dozens of rising stars in the world of wizardry. The Oakland Magic Circle's Annual Northern California Stage Magic Contest and Pasta Dinner will feature the best magicians from many local magic clubs on Tuesday, September 5 at Bjornson Hall in Oakland.
The Stage Contest is preceded by a dinner including pasta with a choice of meat and vegetarian sauces, salads, garlic bread, a soft drink, coffee or tea, and a hand-dipped chocolate cookie.
Cash prizes and a trophy will be awarded to winners.
Frank Biafore will represent The Oakland Magic Circle.
