One-time class fee $49
From familiar musicals like South Pacific and The Sound of Music, to lesser-known shows like Allegro and Pipe Dream, join this exploration of the 11 musicals created by the team of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein. Watch video clips of song and dance numbers from stage productions of these 11 shows and hear live commentary by the instructor about the background, content, and creative process behind their creations. Instructor Ken Ross has extensive experience as a musical theater director, performer, teacher, and attendee. From 1989 to 2010 he was head of the Theater Department at Las Positas College.
