Ross Valley Players launches its 90th Season with Agatha Christie's classic whodunit mystery, The Mousetrap, directed by Adrian Elfenbaum. The play will run from September 13 to October 13 at the Ross Valley Players: Barn Theatre.

Synopsis: A snowstorm isolates a group of strangers at Monkswell Manor in the English countryside. One of them is murdered. A policeman interrogates each suspect, and skeletons tumble out of closets. Whodunit? It could be any of them! Another famous Agatha Christie twist ending! Chalk up another superb intrigue for the foremost mystery writer of her time.

The Mousetrap opened on October 6, 1952, in London's West End and has run continuously since. Though Christie did not expect the play to run longer than eight months it sets the record for the longest consecutive run of any show anywhere. On November 18, 2012, the show held its 25,000th performance. The play started as a radio play, based on a short story inspired by a true story.

Richard Attenborough, Sheila Sims, Hugh Bonneville, Patrick Stewart, Julie Walters and Miranda Hart have all performed in the West End productions.

"The Mousetrap has been delighting audiences worldwide for over 60 years," said Adrian Elfenbaum, director. "We're excited to bring the show to RVP, and we hope that you'll come enjoy it."
