The Monterey Bay Poetry Consortium Reading Series returns to the East Village Coffee Lounge with poets Lily Dayton and Frances Hatfield. Lily Dayton is a zoologist from Santa Cruz whose love for animals inspires her writing, which has appeared in the Los Angles Times and the Monterey Poetry Review, as well as The Monterey Aquarium's book about sea otters. Also from Santa Cruz, Frances Hatfield is the recipient of a UC poet laureate award for her first book of poems, Rudiments of Flight, and has had her work appear in Parabola, Memoir, Jung Journal, Numinous, The Anthology of Monterey Bay Poets 2004, The Book of Now, and more.
