To create THE MISSING GENERATION, trailblazing transgender choreographer Sean Dorsey traveled the US to record of oral history interviews with queer and transgender survivors of the early epidemic. The dance is accompanied by an intricate, multi-layered score that incorporates clips of these remarkable interviews, haunting original music, and Dorsey’s own writing.
With stark tenderness, heart-breaking storytelling and breathtaking dancing, THE MISSING GENERATION deeply moves and inspires audiences – revealing the unshakeable human capacity to lift each other up out of unthinkable loss with compassion, strength and resilience.
