One-of-a-kind bar-cafe-museum-venue.
If you've ever mused on the ultimate fate of humanity or been inspired by the megalithic ceremonial calendar-structure at Stonehenge, you'll feel a familiar twinge of recognition at The Interval at the Long Now Foundation. You're invited to tour our museum space with one of our staff members and see the working prototypes of The Clock of The Long Now, a monument-in-the-works and physical embodiment of Long Now's mission to encourage long-term thinking and responsibility on the scale of 10,000 years. There are also displays on The Rosetta Project, a long-term catalog of human linguistic diversity that is attempting to stem the growing tide of language extinction.
