Newark’s Purrfect Cat Rescue is one of 200 Shelters Nationwide selected to give a Home to Abandoned Cats
Help an abandon cat find the pur-r-r-fect home. Purrfect Cat Rescue hosts a pet adoption weekend at NewPark Mall on June 1 – 2 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. on the upper level near Burlington Coat Factory.
In collaboration with the national pet adoption organization, Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days (MPAD) and Purrfect Cat Rescue will be showcasing a wide selection of cats and kittens with ages ranging from 8-10 weeks, to teenage cats, to adults ages two-years-old and older. MPAD is pledging $4 million dollars to find homes for 5,000 shelter pets. Maddie's Pet Adoption Days is America's biggest free pet adoption event.
Maddie's Fund decided to expand this year's event to include adoption
sites across the U.S. because of the continued success of Maddie's Pet
Adoption Days on a local level. Every year, the number of adoptions has
increased with a total of 6,722 dogs and cats adopted during the event's
three-year history.
Purrfect Cat Rescue of Newark, California is currently seeking reliable caregivers for “kitten time of year,” which is the onslaught of tiny felines that will occur in the next few weeks. Sign-up sheets will be available for those in learning about volunteer opportunities. Purrfect Cat Rescue will post pictures of the kittens and cats up for adoption as the event date approaches.
