Airplanes, food trucks, and families will share the flight line at San Martin Airport on October 26, 2024. The Fourth Annual Food Truck Fly-In is a free community event of delicious food, aircraft displays, aviation-centered entertainment, collectors' cars, and live music that draws more than 4,000 attendees from our local community each year.
Food Truck Fly-In attendees this year will enjoy:
- Demonstrations of airplanes and helicopters to Powered Paragliders, Gyroplanes, Light Sport, aerobatic, vintage, and experimental unmanned aircraft.
- A children's zone, new this year, with activities designed for our junior pilot visitors.
- Aviation businesses based at the airport and in our community including flight instruction, skydiving, aircraft maintenance, aircraft covers, and experimental aircraft technologies will be there to answer questions.
- Mouth-watering choices of food for purchase from a variety of locally owned and operated food trucks, including: Tlaxiacos Pizza, Grillzilla, Chickn Bros, Akita Sushi, La Patrona Cocina Mexicana, Fire and Slice Pizza Truck, and more
- The Wings of History Aircraft Museum, just across the street from the airport, will be the home of a wine and beer garden sponsored by the Gilroy Garlic Festival, where adults can relax and enjoy a glass. Take a tour for a small donation for entry.
- Display of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA), the world's largest aviation organization, 2025 Giveaway Sweepstakes Airplane. This beautiful 1958 Cessna 182 will undergo a 15-month long restoration before being given away in a drawing next year. The winner does not need to be a member of AOPA or be present to win. Entry information will be available at the event.
