South Valley Dance Arts (SVDA) is proud to present a program of The Firebird. Performances will be held on June 10th at 7pm and June 11th at 1pm and 6pm at the Ann Sobrato High School Theater in Morgan Hill.
This mesmerizing ballet, set to a powerful score by the famous composer Igor Stravinsky, combines all the elements of a great story – princes and princesses, an evil sorcerer, vampires, peacocks, forest fairies, firebirds, a dancing bear, and other magical creatures. Told through music and dance, The Firebird has become one of the most famous ballets of all time. The music is exciting, beautiful and at times a little scary—just like the story itself.
Complete with stunning sets and costumes, and performed by over 75 local dancers from South Valley Dance Arts’ company and classes, the show is sure to be a delight to audiences of all ages.
