The Filipino Comedy Festival

SEE EVENT DETAILS
The Filipino Comedy Festival heads to San Francisco & NYC

Rising Filipino-American & Filipino-Canadian comedians you've seen on SNL, JFL, Edinburgh Fringe, Comedy Central, Buzzfeed, TikTok, and YouTube are throwing a bicoastal comedy celebration for October's Filipino American History Month.

San Francisco & New York City - October marks Filipino-American History Month, a time dedicated to celebrating the rich history and cultural contributions of Filipinos in the United States. This year, Banana Ketchup Comedy is setting the stage for an unprecedented coast-to-coast celebration by uniting the vibrant Filipino communities of San Francisco and New York City with the annual Filipino Comedy Festival. In its second year, this highly anticipated event not only brings together rising Filipino comedy stars from across the US and Canada, but also symbolizes the first-ever collaboration between East and West Coast Filipino communities in the comedy scene.

Filipinos are known for viral karaoke performances, impeccable dance moves, and now--standup comedy on a global scale. On October 4-5 and October 17-19, join some of the best Filipino comedians you've seen on Netflix, Comedy Central, JFL, and all over social media for eight incredible, riotous shows filled with comedy, games, incredible prizes and belly-aching laughter. Join us for a first-of-its-kind festival and meet the next generation of JoKoys.

Expect performances by:
Andrew Orolfo (Netflix, Comedy Central), Clare O'Kane (SNL), Michael Cruz Kayne (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert), Aivy Cordova (SF Sketchfest), Vic Tran (NY Comedy Festival, SXSW), Ernie Vicente (JFL Originals, Sirius XM), Patricia Dinglasan (West Side Comedy Club, Asian Comedy Fest), Allan Samson Manalo (Punchline, Holy City Zoo) and so many more!

Produced and hosted by:
Produced by Patricia Dinglasan (New York Comedy Club, Buzzfeed) and Kyle Marian (Inside Edition, NPR, NowThis!), Rhoda Gravador (Throckmorton, Oakland Comedy Festival), Debra Belale (Comedy Before the Debauchery), A. Samson Manalo (Punchline, Holy City Zoo, Bindlestiff Studio), and Manny Cabrera Jr. (resident artist at Bindlestiff Studio).
