SEE EVENT DETAILS
at The Dorian (see times)
The Dorian in San Francisco's Marina District will host their fourth annual "Cab & Slab" dinner on Thursday, December 16. The four-course $95.00 prix fixe meal beginning at 7:00 p.m. will be centered around prime rib served family-style with corkage waived on any bottle of Cabernet brought in. The restaurant will also have bottles for purchase onsite. The price excludes gratuity. Early arrivers can enjoy a hosted $20.00 Manhattan and Martini bar. Cocktail attire is encouraged and tickets are available via https://www.eventbrite.com/e/dorians-4th-annual-cab-slab-dinner-tickets-215961114507.

The evening's menu (subject to change) will include a Caesar Salad with garlic thyme crouton and anchovy dressing; Blackened Wagyu Sliders with Parmesan chive aioli, charred onion and truffle potato haystacks; West Coast Crab and Shrimp Cakes with cucumber, jalapeno and citrus cobb salad and cilantro-lime vinaigrette; the Dorian's slow roasted Herb and Peppercorn-Crusted Niman Ranch Prime Rib with sauces (chive horseradish cream, sauce au poivre, peperonata) or a plant-based option of Cast Iron Roasted Cauliflower and Wild Mushroom with cavatappi pasta and a crushed blackened tomato and herb sauce; Candied Carrot with mint, chive, curry spice and parsnip crisps; Mini Stuffed Baked Potato with broccoli, bacon and cheddar-garlic smoked salt; Sautéed Green Beans with vermouth, caramelized onion and berbere spice; a Yuzu Citrus Tart with crushed raspberries; and Buffalo Trace Crème de Blanc with shaved chocolate and crushed peppermint.

Always offered at The Dorian is their classic American fare including award-winning burgers from Executive Chef Shawn Montgomery. The beverage menu features a mix of classic, contemporary and original cocktails including hand-crafted martinis and an extensive array of whiskeys.

An ode to a bygone era, The Dorian is a neighborhood supper club serving contemporary pub fare and free-spirited cocktails. This modern-day parlor for the bohemians, libertines and freethinkers is the kind of place where Oscar Wilde might have dropped in for a drink or Jerry Thomas would have tended bar, all with an eye to "enjoying good times for good times sake."

Designed by Shelly Amoroso, The Dorian evokes a Victorian home at the turn of the last century with rich colors and textural wallpapers, mixed with brass and concrete surfaces. Built in-panels with hand-sourced antique artifacts and art, and a chandelier all bring a sense of charm and fun to the restaurant's three distinct spaces. The main bar area, with brass accents and a teal and purple color scheme, is anchored by a prominent whiskey display while upstairs, the study incorporates leather and dark wood. Seating options include banquettes, booths and a round settee.

The Dorian is located at 2001 Chestnut Street, at the corner of Fillmore Street, in San Francisco, California. Reservations are encouraged, but walk-ups are welcome. The restaurant is open Tuesday through Sunday and specific hours of operation, special features and news can be found on the restaurant's website, https://www.doriansf.com, by following @thedoriansf on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and by calling (415) 358-7054.
