The Dorian Hosts "Gone With The Whiskey" Whiskey Fest Showcasing Extremely Rare Whiskies
The Dorian in San Francisco's Marina District will be hosting their first annual "Gone With The Whiskey" Whiskey Fest on Sunday, September 10 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. offering guests the opportunity to taste extremely rare and exotic whiskies (see full menu below) from around the globe while also enjoying a pig roast. More information can be found at https://www.facebook.com/events/ and tickets, required and priced from $55.00 to $75.00, are available via http://bit.ly/2uRxyVu. Ticket purchasers will receive eight tokens and each whiskey available will have a different token value depending on their price. It will also be possible to purchase additional tokens on site.
Always available is The Dorian's shared-plate classic American fare from the same team behind the Palm House. Ensuring that the entirety of the restaurant's dining experience is a good one is Manager Chris Goodyear, plus operating partners Anderson Pugash, Benson Wang and Jack Herr.
The restaurant's beverage program features a mix of classic, contemporary and original cocktails including hand-crafted martinis and an extensive array of whiskeys. Among the fifty or so wines by the bottle are both domestic and imported vintages. Locally sourced craft beers are also available. Not to be missed is the restaurant's Happy Hour, Tuesday through Friday from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m.
Designed by Shelly Amoroso, The Dorian evokes a Victorian home at the turn of the last century with rich colors and textural wallpapers, mixed with brass and concrete surfaces. Built in-panels with hand-sourced antique artifacts and art, and a chandelier all bring a sense of charm and fun to the restaurants three distinct spaces. The main bar area, with brass accents and a teal and purple color scheme, is anchored by a prominent whiskey display while upstairs, the study incorporates leather and dark wood. Seating options include banquettes, booths and a round settee.
