Viewing a landscape through a frame changes the way we see, whether that frame is a window, a smartphone screen, or the lens of a camera obscura, projecting images into a darkened room. These optical devices can both heighten and distort our perceptions of the world around us. Join us for a talk on the architecture of landscape perception and a celebration of optical exhibits, historical instruments, and artworks designed for landscape observation in the Bay Observatory.
Free. RSVP required. To RSVP, email
