The Dark Side of Pinot

SEE EVENT DETAILS
SPECIAL EVENT:

THE DARK SIDE OF PINOT

EDU-TASTING | WINE BAZAAR | MOVIE MATINEE

We skip Blanc, Gris and all other Pinot as we fade to Noir, going Sideways and beyond. Join us for a fun filled day of tasting and exploration as we celebrate Pinot Noir!

Edu-Tasting - Iconic Pinot Noirs 11:30-1:00

Our Iconic Pinot Noirs seminar will feature 4-6 different Pinot Noirs from Burgundy, California and other global regions known for this popular grape. This fun and engaging workshop will teach and taste the varietal profile as well as differences in structure and style as they relate to varying soils, climates, and elevations of each region covered.

Wine Bazaar - Around the World with Pinot Noir 1:00-3:00

Taste 20 different Pinot Noirs from Burgundy to multiple countries and regions. Stroll table to table at your own pace exploring the varietal profile as well as differences in structure and style as they relate to varying soils, climates, and elevations. Enjoy an assortment of bites to pair with your wines and purchase your favorite bottles to take home.

Movie Matinee - Sideways 3:00-5:00

Come sip, nibble and laugh with us and see what fueled the Pinot explosion in CA and made Merlot mad! Join us for an interactive screening of the movie Sideways. This 2004 American comedy starring Paul Giamatti and Thomas Haden Church follows a struggling writer and wine snob with his wine novice, hard drinking friend on a bachelor's party weekend through the vineyards of Santa Barbara. Master Sommelier David Glancy will provide commentary and guide you through some relevant Santa Barbara Pinot Noirs and maybe even a Merlot!

Light paired movie snacks included.

This is part of our 2017 Summer Series which include lots of special workshops and events!
