The CJM's 2017 Family Gala: Journey to Worlds Unknown

SEE EVENT DETAILS
Kids, parents, grandparents, and friends will come together for a night of celebration as they Journey to Worlds Unknown.  Around every corner entertainers will dazzle with spectacular acrobatics, storytellers will captivate with tales of transformations, and interactive activities will engage the imagination!

This year’s celebration is inspired by the exhibition Jewish Folktales Retold: Artist as Maggid. The CJM invited sixteen contemporary artists to act as modern storytellers or maggids —interpreting traditional Jewish folktales and characters in newly commissioned works that deliver fresh insights to twenty-first century audiences.

The Family Gala is The Contemporary Jewish Museum’s signature fundraising event that supports The Museum’s award-winning education, community, and family programs. With your help, The CJM can continue to provide weekly family programming and art education for over 20,000 for families.
