The Box Shop is a collaborative maker space and studios focused on metal and industrial arts. During our Open House, we open up for the public to get to know the space, the art, and the artists that make up The Box Shop community!
Our April Open House features both live music and a number of Easter activities fun for kids and adults!

Lonesome Town, an Americana, Indie Folk trio featuring songwriters Paul Griffiths, Meredith Edgar and upright bass player Sean Silverman will be performing from 1-3 pm. The trio regularly performs around the Bay Area and beyond including at the Rite Spot every 2nd Thursday of the month.

Bring your friends and your kids to The Box Shop for some Easter fun! There will be two easter egg hunts: one well-suited for small children and another more appropriate for larger kids and adults (anyone who wants to crawl around and search through the hidden treasures lying around The Box Shop). You can also paint and decorate Easter eggs!
*Check out 130+ murals!*
The Box Shop has commissioned local artists to paint over 130 murals throughout the exterior and inner yards. This is one of the largest open-air mural art exhibits in the Bay Area!
*Explore where colossal art is born!*
Monumental art pieces are created at The Box Shop. Some become public art installed locally and around the U.S. - such as Entwined Meadow (installed in Golden Gate Park in the winters of 2020-2022). The Box Shop is also a hub of the Burning Man arts community. Dozens of Burning Man sculptures and art cars were created at The Box Shop. See for yourself the space, the machinery, and the tools that make this art possible!

Our succulent garden is home to gorgeous plants both natural and manmade!
