When I started my private practice in the early 90', massage therapy was in a renaissance with few regulations on hours and training sources. This literally forced me to create new moves on the spot, intuiting the clients' needs. While the medicalization of massage therapy has been great for the industry, perhaps some of the creativity and magic has been overlooked. People, in this time, seek more than just a muscle massage. They want to have a spiritual experience, get reconnected deeply with themselves and float off the table, renewed.
