The Beach Chalet to Host a Rombauer Vineyards Wine Dinner
The Beach Chalet Brewery & Restaurant has announced that they will be hosting a Rombauer Vineyards Wine Dinner on Thursday, February 22 beginning at 5:30 PM. Guests will be able to enjoy, while overlooking the Pacific Ocean, five courses from Executive Chef Jose Mendoza, each of which will be paired with wines selected by Rombauer's Directors of Wine Education, Alan Canon and Kristine Peterson, who will be in attendance. To start there will be Day Boat Scallop Crudo and Avocado Mousse with Calabrian pepper, Meyer lemon, and salsa macha oil paired with a 2022 Sauvignon Blanc followed by Lobster Bisque with New England lobster, creme fraiche, and California caviar and a 2022 Carneros Chardonnay. Next up will be Potato Gnocchi with porcini butter sauce, wild mushrooms, and truffle oil with a 2021 Napa Valley Merlot and then Dry Aged Ribeye with potato au gratin, caramelized shallots, and a balsamic reduction with cabernet sauvignon Bordelaise sauce paired with a 2019 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Dessert will be a Cherry Chocolate Ring Mousse with almond butter crumb and whipped cream.
