The Basics: Grilling & Roasting

Part of a series exploring the fundamentals of cooking, this class will teach you all the tips and tricks necessary to utilize these healthy, dry-heat based methods in your kitchen. Our talented chef instructors will demonstrate and guide you through the recipes included in the class. Then you’ll break into teams to work together to prepare a seasonal meal using grilling and roasting as your cooking medium. At the end of class, you’ll enjoy the food you and your classmates cooked in a lively, discussion-filled meal. Please feel free to bring a grill-worthy bottle of wine to share with the group (no corkage fee)!

WHAT’S ON THE MENU:

The Perfect Steak 2 Ways with Garlic-Herb Compound Butter

Grilled Chicken Charmoula

Oven-Roasted Tomato Soup with Olive Toasts and Aleppo Pepper Cream

Oven-Roasted Green Beans with Pine Nuts and Currants

Grilled Broccolini Bread Salad

Grilled Eggplant with Quinoa Salad

Grilled Peaches with Honeyed Mascarpone

FAQ’S and Chef’s Notes:

Students will receive copies of all recipes.

Students will be greeted with a glass of wine.

This is an active, hands-on class so we suggest long pants and comfortable, closed-toed/rubber soled shoes.

Knives and utensils provided for in-class use.

Parking is limited in the North Beach area. Please provide for extra time to find a space. If space is limited, we recommend the parking lot at Northpoint Centre Shopping Center, at 350 Bay St, San Francisco, CA 94133.

No one under 21 years old will be admitted.

Appetizer-sized portions of all menu items are served.

Due to time constraints, not all participants will make all menu items and recipes.

We cook with the best seasonal ingredients. Farmers are at the hands of Mother Nature and so are we. Therefore, menu ingredients are subject to change should the need arise.



Any food allergies or restrictions? Please ensure that you fill out the dietary restrictions portion during your ticket purchase so we are alerted to your needs and are able to plan accordingly.

Cancellation Policy: TICKETS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE. However, you may transfer to another class of equal or lesser value 7 days or more prior to the class. In addition, you may apply the price of the ticket to higher-priced class and pay the difference. Please notify us of any changes at [email protected].

Promotional Codes: Only 1 redemption per student is allowed. Multiple usage will result in cancellation of the students space in class.
