This workshop meets on Sunday, September 30th, 2018, 9:00am-5:30pm, and Sunday, October 7th, 2018, 9:00am-5:30pm.
Lucid dreaming, or awareness in dreams, is a powerful practice of awakening to the great dimensions of our creative mind. The practice of lucid dreaming challenges our perception and habitual patterns and can lead to the practice of lucid waking. In this workshop, Fariba Bogzaran focuses on historical, scientific, and phenomenological research on lucid dreaming as well as the current dialogue about this subject.
Explore the cross-cultural views of lucid dreaming in the context of spiritual experiences and development, creative inspirations, problem solving, and how the practice is used as an awareness vehicle to prepare for dying. Fariba’s innovative methods teach awareness methods in waking and dreaming in addition to providing practical and creative tools for viewing your dreams.
Fariba Bogzaran, PhD, a scientist and artist, is one of the pioneers in the field of dream studies. She founded the graduate dream studies certificate program at JFK University and taught there for twenty-five years. She is the co-author of two major academic books on dreams: Extraordinary Dreams (2002) and Integral Dreaming (2012), both published by State University of New York Press.
