Thanksgiving Day 2013 Dining at Lake Chalet in Oakland

On Thanksgiving Day 2013, Thursday, November 28, Lake Chalet Seafood Bar & Grill in Oakland will be open from open noon to 9:00 PM serving a $46.00 prix fixe three-course menu, plus a three-choice a la carte menu for children under 12 years of age, all excluding tax and gratuity. First course prix fixe choices will be an autumn mista salad with Happy Boy Farm mixed greens, fuyu persimmon, pomegranate, pine nuts, sherry vinaigrette and ricotta salata; or butternut squash soup with spiced whipped crème fraîche and crispy sage leaves. The second course choices will be classic roast turkey with giblet gravy, apple pancetta stuffing, mashed potatoes, season’s vegetables and cranberry compote; pan-roasted king salmon with truffled savoy cabbage, confit potatoes and apple cider froth; slow-cooked lamb shank with heirloom apples, autumn squash, green French lentils and lamb jus; or sugar pie pumpkin ravioli with sage cream, Oregon chanterelles and brown butter. Dessert options will be pumpkin pie with whipped cream and warm vanilla caramel sauce; pecan pie with vanilla bean ice cream; or chocolate butterscotch pot de crème with house made cookies. Select a la carte appetizers and side dishes will also be available in the dining room, plus in the restaurant's bar and lounge area, there will be complimentary warm apple cider and hot chocolate for guests to enjoy while watching football games.
