Dive deep into the motors of change with speakers from a variety of fields exploring the theme "Shifting Tides" at TEDxPaloAlto. Among the presenters are:

Ivan Orkin, a cookbook author and founder of ramen shops in Japan and NY; Idit Sagiv Barfi who conducts research in Immunology/Oncology at Stanford School of Medicine, focusing on stimulating the body's immune system to fight and eradicate cancer cells; and the trio Grand Tapestry who marries hip-hop with classical Indian music.

Ignacio "Nachito" Herrera is one of the world's great Cuban pianists; Jacob Rosen is a professor of medical robotics at the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with appointments to both the Department of Surgery and of Bioengineering at UCLA, focusing on robotics, neural control and human-machine interface; and Marilyn Yalom, author of numerous books and articles on literature and women's history.

Other speakers are Lauren Weinstein, a lecturer at the Stanford Graduate School of Business; Syncopated Ladies, a female tap dance band; balloon artist Addi Somekh; Ankur Gopal, a technology entrepreneur; and Pam Costa who helps people find ways to renew and deepen desire and intimacy in their relationships.

Nathan Szajnberg, MD was the Freud Professor of Psychoanalysis at the Hebrew University and has authored several books on development; Dan Siciliano is Co-Director of Stanford's Directors' College and Co-Chair of the We Robot Conference on AI/Robotics, Law, and Policy; and Matt Abrahams teaches Strategic Communication and Effective Virtual Presenting at Stanford's Graduate School of Business.

Dr. Kari Nadeau focuses on understanding how environmental and genetic factors affect the risk of developing allergies and asthma, and the molecular mechanisms underlying the diseases; and Dr. Mark Allen is the Co-Founder and CEO of Elevian, a Harvard spinout developing medicines to cure aging. Master of Ceremonies Zach Bodner is CEO of the Oshman Family JCC.
