A giving circle is a community of like-minded philanthropists who pool their funds in order to increase their collective impact. Our giving circle will support organizations in the Bay Area that do work that aligns with TechEquity’s mission of building a regional economy that works for everyone, including our priority focus areas of housing and workforce & labor.
This quarter we're selecting a Bay Area organization that is doing work in the immigration/refugee sector. ?Join us to decide which organization will benefit from our collective giving! On Wednesday, March 13th we'll get together to evaluate and vote on our finalists. Our finalist organizations include:
Refugee Transitions
Immigrants Rising
1951 Coffee
Light food and drinks will be provided.
___
Note: each member of the Giving Circle commits to giving $150 per quarter. We settled on this figure because we were inspired by Pledge 1%. $150 per quarter amounts to one percent of a $60,000/year salary. If your salary is higher than that, we encourage you to consider giving more!
