Techbridge Girls CA Fundraiser - Be(Er) an(d) Engineer! 2018

#BEERANDENGINEER is a fun way for you, your friends, and your colleagues to come together to support Techbridge Girls, a national non-profit organization that seeks to empower girls from low-income communities by delivering high-quality STEM programming. Hear from our California executive director about how Techbridge Girls is closing the gender gap in STEM, compete as a team in STEM games to win prizes, and enjoy some delicious beers and tacos from our partners, Standard Deviant Brewing and Garnachas.

Why Techbridge?
Women represent just 12% of the U.S. engineering workforce; of that, only 2% are under-represented minority women. Techbridge has a mission to change this. We recruit girls from underrepresented groups, such as Hispanic, African-American, and Native American girls. Our programs focus on under-served communities, where STEM enrichment opportunities for girls are not easily accessible. We reach out to girls and help them develop the skills, confidence, perseverance, and passion they need to enter the STEM workforce.
Techbridge Girls strives to inspire girls in under-served communities to discover a passion for science, technology and engineering. We give them access to the hands-on learning and real-world exposure they need to pursue their dreams and careers. We also work with families, role models, school districts and partners to provide the guidance they need to support girls and set them on the path to success. We believe in the possibility of every girl having the power to change the world.

A $50 donation can buy one girl supplies for our woodworking unit.
