Join us Saturday, Mar. 14, for a lunch and cooking class.
About this Event
Channel your inner chef and learn from a local expert about the power of juicing and eating with intention at this special Lunch & Learn event held in the 1440 Multiversity Teaching Kitchen!
Join nutrition and wellness expert Jocelyn Dubin, MS, RD on March14 as she leads an in-depth discussion on the nutritional benefits of juicing along with a hands-on juice-pressing demonstration. She will also educate guests about the importance of preparing food with fresh ingredients, and provide a tasty cooking demonstration that will culminate with lunch.
Jocelyn will showcase a main dish of Basil Pesto with Zucchini Noodles, and for dessert, attendees will discover one of the many uses of avocado with a Chocolate Avocado Pudding. These dishes are easy to replicate at home and are a mindful, nutritious, and tasty addition to any cook's repertoire, regardless of skill level.
While a registered guest on the 75-acre 1440 campus, take a stroll through the Common Goods retail shop, discover art and nature along walking trails in the redwoods, or relax with a spa treatment at the Healing Arts center (advanced reservations required).
Tucked in the redwoods of Scotts Valley, California, 1440 Multiversity is an operating 501(c)(3) philanthropic private campus that allows visitors to experience their 1440 minutes of time each day just a little differently. Your event ticket purchase contributes to work of self and society, helps award program scholarships and grants, and fosters the 1440 vision of building collaborative communities leading generative lives. Thank you for your support.
Price includes cooking discussion and lunch at Teaching Kitchen, and is exclusive of taxes.
