THE BEERS
Start with a crisp, refreshing Kolsch – 4.7% 27 IBUAnybody not living under a rock the last decade can’t deny that Social Media has revolutionized the way we communicate ... giving a voice to the otherwise voiceless. The revolution will not be televised ... but it will be Tweeted! As a nod to this, we bring you "#KÖLSCH" Köln-style Ale. We start by stripping our water down to the bare essentials then rebuild it to match the mineral content of the water in Köln, Germany. Then we add in tons of German Pilsner malts and spice it up with just a 'eine kleine menge' of German Perle and Tettnang hops.Find your sinister side with Something Wicked IPA – 6.8% 71 IBUSPECIAL RELEASE! This is no over-the-top, tongue-scraper IPA. Best described as a hybrid of East and West Coast-style IPA’s, SOMETHING WICKED is brewed to be smooth, balanced, approachable and (despite the ABV) sessionable. Packed with Columbus, Galena, Amarillo and Mosaic Hops, this 'gateway' IPA is pleasantly balanced with a distinctive malty sweetness that lures you in and makes way to juicy, hop forward notes of apricot and stone fruit.
Tantalize your tastebuds with Macchiato White Mocha Stout – 6.5% 29 IBUThis very unique, golden stout made with Costa Rican coffee to honor my family's heritage (my mom is from Costa Rica). Another addition to our "Talladega Nights Series" of one-off, limited release beers, "You Have Spilled My Macchiato" is by no means your average stout! A golden, blonde hue - with big, bold and mellow sweet stout flavor! Brought to life with Madagascar Vanilla, Cocoa Nibs, a dose of Lactose and "Cerro San Luis" Costa Rican coffee from East Sac's own Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters. Mon Dieu!
Ride out the evening with Freedom Ryder – 5.8% 42 IBUBrewed in honor of the 13 Freedom Riders and the legion of other intrepid leaders of the Civil Rights Movement - those who risked life and limb to end segregation - "Freedom Ryder" Rye Pale Ale is the first beer in our "Revolutionaries Series" - each beer brewed in honor of history's social catalysts, those that bucked the status quo to make our community a better place to live. True to the priority Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. put on education, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this beer will go toward a scholarship at Sacramento State for those studying to be educators in the inner city.Final two beers coming soon!
