TaKeTiNa Workshop: Musical Method for Personal Development

SEE EVENT DETAILS

In positive psychology, flow, also known as "the zone," is the mental state of operation in which a person performing an activity is fully immersed in a feeling of energized focus, full involvement, and enjoyment in the process of the activity. Scientists have grown increasingly interested in how humans achieve the state of flow, and this week we will be in an interactive workshop with one potent method: TaKeTiNa.

TaKeTiNa offers a fun way to enter into a potent flow state using the power of rhythm. TaKeTiNa teacher Noah Thorp will lead us in weaving multi-layered rhythms with our feet, hands, and voices.
TaKeTiNa empowers thinking and perception: the synchronous evolution of different rhythms within the body develops the capacity for simultaneous perception. This, in turn, accelerates the absorption and assimilation of information. TaKeTiNa helps to keep a clear head even in chaotic situations and makes it easier to oversee several projects in parallel.
TaKeTiNa can help you to:
- Manage chaotic phases creatively and efficiently
- Act flexibly and connectedly
- Reduce and lose the fear of making mistakes
- Prevent burn-out even during high-stress periods
As stress dissipates, thought becomes clearer and quieter, leaving more room for original vision.
The TaKeTiNa rhythmic process has been the subject of several German research initiatives (QEEG Pilot, HRV Pilot) and is applied in clinical music therapy.
-----------
Amongst many things roles he played his career, including former VP of Engineering at NASDAQ Private Market and CEO/founder of CoMakery, Noah is also a TaKeTiNa instructor and is passionate about helping people reach flow through rhythm.
Noah Thorp trained intensively with TaKeTiNa’s founder Reinhard Flatischler. Noah has several decades of music performance, production, and practice experience. He has been honored by such things as a Meet the Composer Grant and composing for the Capacitor Dance Troupe TED performance. As founder of CoMakery.com he collaborates with Reinhard on the technological applications of TaKeTiNa.
