Tacolicious Guest Chef Series at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market

SEE EVENT DETAILS
at Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market (see times)

Taco lovers, rejoice! Tacolicious’s annual Guest Chef Series is almost here. July 11 through August 29, every Thursday (10 am-2 pm) at CUESA’s Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, the Bay Area’s best chefs—including Michael Mina and Ayesha Curry (International Smoke, SF) and Nite Yun (Nyum Bai, Oakland)—will be serving up their creative and delicious takes on the taco such as five-spice pork with mango-jicama slaw and fermented chilies (Melissa King, Top Chef finalist) and rotisserie chicken with pickled onions and chipotle yogurt (Sarah and Evan Rich, Rich Table, RT Rotisserie).
On July 11, join CUESA in celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Thursday Ferry Plaza Farmers Market where Tacolicious got its start. Festivities, birthday cake, and more will be had, and Roli Roti—another original Thursday market vendor—will be serving up a porchetta sausage taco with Mazatlan peppers at the Tacolicious stand.
Proceeds from Tacolicious’s Guest Chef Series benefit CUESA’s Foodwise Teens, a paid job training program where teens build skills to sustain healthy lives and a healthy planet. Through this series, Tacolicious has generously raised more than $40,000 for CUESA’s education programs.

About Tacolicious
Launched in July 2009 as a stand at the Thursday Ferry Plaza Farmers Market, Tacolicious is a Mexican restaurant with a San Francisco point of view. Today Tacolicious has five Bay Area locations and is opening a sixth in the fall in Los Angeles in the town of Manhattan Beach. The restaurant group also includes agave-spirits bar Mosto, MF Chicken, and Taco Lab, a spin-off of Tacolicious based in the beautiful Mexican town of San Miguel de Allende. Tacolicious stands behind education and has raised over $1,000,000 for public schools through the Tacolicious School Project.
About CUESA
CUESA is a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that grows thriving communities through the power and joy of local food. They have managed the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market in San Francisco since 1999, the Jack London Square Farmers Market in Oakland since 2016, and the Mission Community Market in San Francisco since 2017. The guest chef series benefits CUESA’s Foodwise Teens program, in which students learn about sustainable food jobs and get hands-on experience in the garden, in the kitchen, and at the farmers market, while getting paid for their work.
