Erik Love has been passionately rocking funky tunes of all flavors going back to the heady vinyl days of the late 90’s. Growing up in Minneapolis he was exposed to an eclectic music scene comprising everything from funk legends like Prince to hometown punk rock icons like The Replacements. He first experienced the exploding midwest rave scene in the early nineties and was transformed by those underground outdoor open-air & indoor warehouse parties that defined what would become the musical zeitgeist of a generation. But it wasn’t until Erik relocated to San Francisco in 1997 and experienced that now fabled house music scene including Mark Farina, Wicked Crew, Miguel Migs & Rasoul that he was officially bitten by the DJ bug.
Moving to Prague in 1999, ostensibly to found a tech startup, he ended up being sucked into the European tech-house music vortex. Erik established numerous Czech house party residencies and quickly joined forces with the UK free-party DJs, Quadrant Sound System. It was there that he cut his teeth playing parties in the deep and then burgeoning tech house music scene. Since then, for 15+ years and running, he’s been captivating crowds with his infunktious blend of groovy beats. You will currently find him presiding over his monthly party, SYMMETRY, throwing down with the DJ crew Unusual Suspects, or djing the occasional old haunt or private party.
Brent Northey has played music since since he was eight years old. With a love for diverse music from Metal to Jazz. Born in Concord CA, he made his way into San Francisco in the early 1990's. Here he found the underground music scene which changed his life and gave him a new musical understanding. He is passionate about the creativity and feeling that goes into an album, a mix, and the musical expression to which sounds can be heard and felt. While making friends with the people who had the same interests, his passion quickly grew. From 1991; in warehouses on Army Street, all the way through playing downtempo sets at Cafe Del Mar, Ibiza; he loves electronic music and all that it brings to his life, friends and extended musical family.
