How To Create Products Customers Love
OVERVIEW

This special workshop is designed for Product Managers/Product Owners, Product Leaders (GPM/Director/VP Product) and Startup Co-Founders from Technology-Powered ProductCompanies that want to dive very deep into the product roles and learn the leading edge practices from the world's best technology product teams.  We discuss techniques from Product Discovery, Lean Startups, Design Thinking, Agile, and Customer Development.

WHAT IS COVERED?

We will discuss the modern product manager and product leader roles in depth, along with the dynamics of a strong product team.  We'll discuss how we come up with a powerful and compelling vision and product strategy, and we'll discuss how empowered product teams determine what the need to build in order to deliver business results.  We'll discuss in depth the techniques that product teams use to discover and deliver disruptive products, including how we tackle the major risks of value, usability, feasibilty and viability, and how we use both qualitative and quantitative methods to address those risks.

WHO IS TEACHING?

The workshop will be delivered personally by Marty Cagan, the founder of the Silicon Valley Product Group.  Before founding the Silicon Valley Product Group to pursue his interests in helping others create successful products through his writing, speaking, and training, Marty was most recently senior vice-president of product and design for eBay, where he was responsible for defining products and services for the company’s global e-commerce trading site.  Marty is the author of the book "Inspired: How To Create Tech Products Customers Love."

The course is designed to teach you everything you need to know to be a confident and competent product owner/product leader for products that make a difference.
NOTE: Please be warned that this is an intense two days.  It is designed for technology product people that are serious about becoming exceptional at their job.  We will use every minute of the two days, and your head will be spinning.  My intention is to provide the single best learning opportunity in the world for aspiring product leaders.  These sessions have always sold out with a long waiting list, so please don't sign up to take a spot unless you are serious about your career in product and willing to work hard to improve your skills.  If you're not sure it's for you, talk to someone that has attended a session.
HOTEL INFO:
For this session there are no hotel discounts due to a convention that week, but the recommended hotel is the Courtyard San Francisco Downtown at 299 2nd Street.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
You can cancel with a full refund for any reason up to 7 days prior to the event.  After that, it is too late for a refund but you are free to send any substitute you like.  (It is generally too late to get substitute attendees from the waiting list so the seat would go unused).
