About Sunday Assembly
The radically inclusive Sunday Assembly Silicon Valley (SASV) is a non-religious congregation that celebrates life and welcomes all people, with or without faith, and supports everyone fulfilling their potential. Monthly meetings feature live pop music, Ted-style talks, inspirational stories, and socializing over coffee and cake. SASV's congregation focuses on purpose and action. It supports local nonprofits through hands-on help and donations. The organization offers "smoups", small activity groups that gather around member interests, including book reading, self-improvement, and beer tasting.
The celebration includes sing-alongs with The Lovely Hearts Club Band, refreshments and children’s activities. For more information and parking directions, visit the website or Facebook here:

Started in London in February 2013 by Sanderson Jones and Pippa Evans, Sunday Assembly (sundayassembly.com) is based on a belief that every human being can benefit from inclusion in a community. Part of a global movement for wonder and good, Sunday Assembly's motto is Live better, help often and wonder more." There are 68 Sunday Assembly groups spanning three continents. Over 20 new assemblies will launch in 2015.
In a recent 364-person survey of Sunday Assembly London attendees, 88 percent of regular attendees (five or more assemblies) feel more a part of a community, 80 percent feel they have increased life satisfaction, and 87 percent are happier after attending an assembly.
"There are loads of people out there who want to help others and celebrate being alive," Jones said. "Sunday Assembly is creating a worldwide focus on joy and wonder and service and doing it with boisterous singing, lively talk, good thinking, and helpfulness."
