The Encinal Yacht Club in Alameda will host the Summer Sailstice on June 18th, as a part of an international celebration of sailing on the Saturday closest to the summer solstice.
This all-day, free event is open to both the sailing community and the public and will include a showing of the America's Cup, a helicopter demonstration by the Coast Guard Search and Rescue Team, free sailing tours for families, youth sailing races, a cardboard boat-building competition and a full schedule of educational seminars, along with live entertainment, food and beverages served all day.
