Summer of Innovation: Design and Build Camp
STEAM102 (Ages 8-12)

Calling all young makers and Inventors!
In this 5-day camp, participants explore the entire creative process from invention to fabrication, from idea to finished product. Students will work directly with professionals in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) fields and have the amazing experience of spending a week working in a real-world maker setting. Students will bring their unique creative ideas to life and understand what it is to be a maker, inventor and entrepreneur. Campers will be exposed to new technologies including industry standard computer-based drawing/modeling software, 3D printers, laser cutters, and standard shop tools.

Summer of Innovation: Robotics & Arduino
STEAM105 (Ages 13-17)

Are you ready to start programming your own robots and create your own computerized world? The digital age is upon us, and electronic skills like robotics and coding are highly sought after. This 5-day camp introduces budding hackers to the all-powerful Arduino board, which is incredibly versatile, yet accessible even if you have no prior electronics experience. The Arduino is a board that grows with its user - it can be used for increasingly complex projects as you continue to learn and explore the wide world of electronics. Throughout the week, you will use your Arduino board to make a multitude of different projects, learn to use TheShop’s laser cutters to make pieces for the body of your robots, and culminate in your very own robot!
