Workshop #1: Intro to Gardening
Gardening Basics: Review the importance of selecting the planting site for sun/shade, improving and preparing your soil, watering, mulching, fertilizing, deciding what to plant.
Cool Season Gardening: Discuss what you can grow, how to prepare your soil for gardening during the cooler seasons.
Speaker: Susan Fritz has been a Master Gardener since 2014. She is the current project lead for the Speakers Bureau of the Alameda County Master Gardeners.

Topics covered will include:
Compost Tea - Learn how to make homemade teas for more roots, better flowers, or lush growth.
Ferments for plants - Ferments are all the goodness of organic ingredients that's been concentrated to feed to your plants.
Organic Pest and Fungal Management - Learn how to make your own organic, and safe, pest and fungal management concoctions.
