IncivilitySF is an irreverent showcase of politically-inspired work from San Francisco's underground. Our monthly development series, Subversion, invites artists working with themes of social justice, community-empowerment, and political awakening to come try out new work/work-in-progress in front of an audience.
While we shelter-in-place, we'll be trialing a new, virtual format, with featured performers and an open mic. We'll open the "doors" to performers at 5:30 to work out any technical issues and then let audience in at 5:50 on. Or watch us at Incivility-inc on Facebook Live. Participation is voluntary and admission is free.
Our performers this month include Merlin Coleman, Mia Paschal, Isa Real, and April Axé Charmaine. Our theme this month is resistance and the ongoing struggle for racial justice. Join us!
Co-curated by Sabrina Wenske of Naked Empire Bouffon Company, Nicole Gluckstern of EXIT Theatre, and Larry Bogad, Director of the Center for Tactical Performance, and co-founder of the Clown Army.
