Stretch & Strengthen for Cyclists with Megan Windeler

At Psoas we work as a team -- not just with our co-therapists but with other health providers. We want to empower our clients to stretch and strengthen to maintain their good health -- and we're stoked to be partnering with Megan Windeler for Bike Month to offer all you cyclists a free workshop to do just that. (You don't have to be a cyclist for this class - all are welcome and all will benefit!!)
Whether you are a commuter, a hard core racer or something in between, riding a bike can turn you into a c-curve with arms and legs -- and a lot of aches and pains. But there are some simple ways to remedy that and become a more efficient rider at the same time.
Come stretch and strengthen with Megan, avid long time cyclist (road, mtb and commuter), Yoga teacher, Pilates practitioner, and explorer of all kinds of mindful movement and restorative shapes. We will start with a restorative practice to relax and unwind the psoas, back, hips, shoulders, neck and chest. Once we are unwound and ready to receive new patterns of movement, we will move on to a combination of gentle, simple-yet-deep core work and stretching.
We will learn:? Simple + effective stretches to do at home.? How to engage your core deeply to support you while you ride.
Helpful tools:? Yoga Mat? Yoga strap or belt? Towel? Water? Comfy clothes? Sense of humor
Pair your workshop with a massage! Enjoy 20% off your next session for any client – new or old – who attends the class and books a session that afternoon.
Early and on-time arrivals are appreciated! Doors close five minutes after class begins, so please plan accordingly. Thank you!
RSVP to this event as soon as you can, as space is limited to 8 people. Please cancel 24 hours in advance if you will not be attending so that clients on the waitlist will have their chance to attend.
