Join Beyond Borders for a storytelling workshop. This workshop is for anyone who wants to become a better storyteller and learn how to spice up their public speaking.
We will cover storytelling basics and not-so-basics, including how to hook an audience, building interest and suspense, techniques for adding color, humor, and pathos, and delivering a powerful ending.
Storytelling is more than just entertainment, it is a powerful technique to connect with people, establish credibility, inspire, motivate and convey complex ideas in a memorable way. Workshop participants also have the opportunity to hone their skills before a live audience at our regular story jams at PianoFight in San Francisco.

Beyond Borders Storytelling features wanderlusting adventurers with a story to tell. Originally founded by three former Peace Corps Volunteers in 2013 as a way to share stories about living overseas, Beyond Borders now serves up regular story jams featuring unique perspectives from all those interested in creating understanding through the art of storytelling, whether you're building bridges at home or abroad, across cultures or under the same roof.
In addition to our flagship story jams, we offer workshops, coaching, and corporate events to help aspiring and experienced storytellers hone their craft.
Every other month, we put on story jams featuring storytellers sharing 5-10 minute personal, true stories told without notes before a live audience on the Main Stage at PianoFight in San Francisco. The stories in each show are unified around a particular theme, such as Demons, Lost in Translation and Love at First Sight.
Our workshops cover the basics of creating and telling a story. Our story coaches can offer more advanced training and feedback as you progress through developing your story.
