Now in its 15th anniversary year, the StoryCorps Mobile Tour has facilitated thousands of meaningful conversations between people who know and care about one another. To date, these face-to-face conversations have taken place in its MobileBooth: an Airstream trailer outfitted with a recording studio. For the first time, to respond to the need for social distancing during the COVID-19 pandemic -- while working towards its mission to help people feel more connected and less alone -- StoryCorps has launched a Virtual Mobile Tour, to provide the opportunity for Bay Area residents to participate in the StoryCorps experience online.
BEFORE MAKING AN APPOINTMENT, PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE:
* A strong internet connection
* A computer with a camera and microphone set-up (can be built in)
* The platform we're using will work with most smartphones, but if you have access to a computer, we strongly recommend using that instead
* The contact information for your conversation partner
* If you do not have a partner, please note that in your reservation and we will do our best to provide one for you
