StoryCorps is a nonprofit oral history project that has preserved more than 65,000 interviews with everyday Americans in the Library of Congress. KQED is partnering with it to celebrate the mosaic of Bay Area life, through personal accounts of the local residents who are at its heart.
Originally planned as a month-long Bay Area stop on a cross-country tour of the StoryCorps MobileBooth -- an Airstream trailer outfitted as a traveling studio -- this residency is going online with virtual recording sessions with trained facilitators, ready to help us all feel more connected and resilient through story.
Reservations for recording sessions are now available for Bay Area residents, with recording sessions taking place August 12 - September 11.
