Still Life Dances is a series of movement studies based on still life paintings from the de Young Museum. These dances are inspired by the composition and detail of early American artworks. To much acclaim, Still Life Dances were performed all around the Bay in 2015. This performance will be the fourth in the series, but their first evening-length work.
Choreographers:
LAUREN SIMPSON has danced for Liz Lerman and Risa Jaroslow. She teaches at ODC and USF. M.F.A. University of Colorado-Boulder, Ed.M Harvard.
JENNY STULBERG is a dance artist, teacher, and filmmaker. She will perform with Hope Mohr and teaches all around the Bay. M.F.A., NYU Tisch and B.F.A., Western Michigan.
