On June 18th, Startups Give Back is hosting a volunteering event in San Francisco to support ShelterTech's Datathon!
Datathon
The goal of datathons is to improve and validate the completeness and accuracy of data in the AskDarcel database to be used by people experiencing homelessness or caseworkers. Volunteers will work with members of the community who have personally experienced homelessness recently to research resources listed in the database and add missing information or remove incorrect information. Continual review by volunteers keeps the database up-to-date and increases its usefulness to the homelessness community.
